One morning on Holy Island is a set of 5 images all taken on the morning of  Wednesday, November 24th, 2021.

No. 3 of 5 – 10.43 am, Fishermen haul in their catch

Two fishermen are hauling their boat to the shore with their mornings catch transferred from their larger fishing boat, as the mid morning sun lights up the castle in the background. In the foreground is part of The Heugh, from which the photograph was taken.  The Heugh is an elevated ridge of rock which was important in the past for observation and defence.
