One morning on Holy Island – 8.15 am

One morning on Holy Island is a set of 5 images all taken on the morning of  Wednesday, November 24th, 2021.

No. 1 of 5 – 8.15 am, Sunrise over Lindisfarne Bay

Looking from The Causeway across Lindisfarne Bay, the sun rise casts a lovely orange reflection across the water lighting up the rocks in the foreground. The bay forms the final stretch of St. Cuthbert’s Way across the mud flats and sands. St. Cuthbert’s Way is a 100 mile route that starts in Melrose in the Scottish Borders, where St. Cuthbert started his religious life, and ends on Holy Island, his final resting place.
